  1. AALAS Learning Library Tutorial Office of Animal Care Compliance

  2. Click on “Enroll now”

  3. Click on “Myself (I am purchasing an individual account or using an Access Code to join a group)” and then select continue.

  4. Click on “Yes, I have an Access Code.” then click on continue.

  5. Enter the access code “UNMIACUC” then click on continue.

  6. Fill in all the requested information then hit continue.

  7. Fill out the required information (*) and then hit continue.

  8. Select “Animal Care and Use Courses” from the “Libraries” tab.

  9. Click on “UNM Tracks”

  10. Click on “Required Courses”

  11. Click on these three tracks to access the required courses. • Everyone will take “Working with the IACUC”. • If you’re working with lab animals you’ll take “Occupational Health and Safety in the Care and Use of Research Animals”. • If you’re working with field animals you’ll take “Intro to Wildlife”.

  12. If you’re new or performing new techniques click on “New Animal handlers” to access more training. Do all the modules that pertain to what you’ll be doing.

  13. If you’re repeating the “Working with the IACUC Course” after 5 years click on “Working with the IACUC Refresher” and complete the course.

  14. If you’re an IACUC member click on “IACUC Members” and select your courses.
