  2. A is for Abolitionists-Americans who wanted to end slavery.

  3. B is for Black Codes-Laws that restricted the rights of African Americans.

  4. C is for Carpet Baggers-A person who moves to the South.

  5. D is for Debates-Public discussion.

  6. E is for Emancipation Proclamation-Stated that all slaves were free.

  7. F is for Free State-State where slaves are free.

  8. G is for Gettysburg Address- One of the greatest speeches in American history.

  9. H is for Harriet Tubman-served as a union spy and nurse also a conductor on the underground railroad

  10. I is for Industry-A branch of business trade or manufacturing

  11. J is for John WilkesBooth-Lincoln’s assassinator.

  12. K is for Ku Klux Klan-Terrorized Africans Americans.

  13. L is for Abraham Lincoln-He was the 16th President

  15. N is for a New way of life-After the Civil War, most plantation owners had little money to pay workers. Instead they rented out there fields. This system of renting land in return for a share of the crop raised on it is called sharecropping.

  17. P is for Proclamation of 1763-an official announcement by King George III of Great Britain that outlawed colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains.

It was used as a tonic like Columba orquassia; in infusion, decoction, tincture and was used to treat wounds and infections soldiers got during battle..It comes from rocks in Asia that were made by Billy Bob.

  26. Y is for Yankee-A Northerner.

  27. Z is for zouave-regiment was characterized by its soldiers' bright, colorful uniforms which usually included baggy trousers, a vest, and a fez in different combinations of red, white, and blue. American zouave units were found in both Union and Confederate armies. They were modeled after French African troops who were known for their bravery and marksmanship.
