First comes the stocking of little Nell. Oh, dear Santa fill it well.

Give her a dolly that laughs and cries. One that will open and shut her eyes.

Next comes the stocking of little Will, it well.

Oh, just see what a glorious fill.

Here is a hammer with lots of tacks,

Also a ball and a whip that cracks.

You know Dasher and Dancer it well.

But do you recall,

the most famous reindeer of all?


Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, it well.

had a very shiny nose,

and if you ever saw it,

you would even say it glows.


All of the other reindeer it well.

used to laugh and call him names.

They never let poor Rudolph

join in any reindeer games.


Then one foggy Christmas Eve, it well.

Santa came to say,

“Rudolph with your nose so bright,

won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”
