Name: KEN BLOCK Date of birth: November 21, 1967 Residence: Rancho Santa Fe, California Car: #43 Subaru Impreza WRX STI BUSINESSMAN After creating three successful skateboarding and snowboard entities: Eight ball Clothing, Droors Clothing and Blunt Magazine, Ken Block co-founded DC Shoes in 1994 with partner Damon Way. Damon convinced his pro skateboarding brother Danny Way and fellow skateboarder Colin McKay to defect from their shoe sponsors and put their names on the first two DC shoe models. Lacking a shoe design and designer, Ken jumped into the role. Ken and Damon grew the business from a small operation, making and marketing performance skateboarding footwear, to one of the leading companies in the industry that is distributed throughout the world. DC was acquired by Quicksilver in May, 2004, making it part of a nearly $2 billion action sports family. Block now serves as Chief Brand Officer where he oversees the DC brand.   2. GYMKHANA Gymkhana events are time/speed events in an automobile. There can be obstacles such as cones, tires, and barrels. The driver is expected to maneuver through the predetermined “track” performing many different driving techniques. What separates gymkhana from your traditional autocross event is that in gymkhana drivers are required to perform reversals, 180 degree spins, 360 degree spins, parking boxes, figure 8s and other advanced skills. Also drifting is encouraged where helpful/necessary. You can consider any event a Gymkhana which has a starting point, a finish line and some sort of “obstacle” to get through, around, or by, and is timed. Ken block is one of Americas best power drifters and he his one of the best rally drivers he also is the Chief Brand Officer of DC Shoes Ken block goes to ship yards to practice drifting . Most of the time the power drifting champion ships are in ship yards. Ken block all ways enters the rally champion ships at the x games he always ends up in the top 1. In 2005, Ken Block began his national rallying career with the Vermont Sports Car team. Vermont Sports Car prepared a 2005 Subaru WRX STi for Block to compete. His first event of the rallying season was Sno Drift, where he ended up finishing seventh overall and fifth in the Group N class. During the 2005 season, Block had five top five finishes and placed third overall in the Group N class and fourth overall in the Rally America National Championship. At the end of his first rallying year, Ken Block had won the Rally America Rookie of the Year award.

  3. On October 15, 2009, it was reported that Block was close to a deal to join the World Rally Championship in a new Ford team. Long time co-driver Alex Gelsomino is also reportedly involved in the deal. Former Subaru WRC driver Chris Atkinson has been reported to be lined up as Block's team-mate in the all-new Monster Energy Drink Ford World Rally Team. In 2005, Ken Block along with his DC Shoes associates participated in the Gumball 3000 Rally. For the event they sent out three modified 2004 Subaru WRX STi's sponsored by DC Shoes. In 2007, Ken Block joined the DC Shoes Snowboarding team at New Zealand's Snow Park. Block did massive jumps and assisted in snowboarding tricks while driving his rally car on the mountain alongside the snowboarders. The session made the cover of the December 2007 issue of Snowboarder Magazine and closed out the MTN.LAB 1.5 DVD. In 2009, for the BBC show Top Gear, Ken took James May out for Gymkhana-style driving at Block's stunt course at Inyokern Airport, an operational California airport, also starring Ricky Carmichael, whom Ken describes as a good friend'.

This event brings together mountain bikes bmx and freestyle motocross bikes three different things the farm jam is for riders that like riding because that’s what they like doing best • The farm jam has push bikes ramps and steal freestyle ramps the track has hay bails on the side line so they know were the edge of the track is the track has steep ramps and there's a lot of young people were ever you look • The farm jam takes two hours from queens town and then17km off the main road that ends in Invercargill • it can teach you new things like tricks and you meet new people and you mite become famous
