Campus Curricula Committee Report September 19, 2013 • 6 Degree Change (DC) forms DC 0479, DC0480, DC0481 – Limit number of independent study hours in BS in Architectural, Civil, and Environmental Engineering respectively. DC 0482 – Change BA in Philosophy to BS degree DC 0483 – Minor modification of the BS in Ceramic Engineering curriculum DC 0484 – Minor modification of the BS in Metallurgical Engineering

  3. Campus Curricula Committee Report September 19, 2013 • 7 Course Change (CC) forms • 13 Experimental Course (EC) forms (informational only) The Campus Curricula Committee moves for the approval of this report’s DC and CC forms.

Campus Curricula Committee Report September 19, 2013 Course Renumbering Initiative • Cross-walk tables have been successfully submitted by each department • Some departments requested course deletions in lieu of renumbering them • Default renumbering rules for prerequisite course numbers have been established; a few courses will use non-default rules as requested by departments

Campus Curricula Committee Report September 19, 2013 • System software will convert active 3-digit numbers to 4-digit numbers, but departments must submit DC forms to remove/replace inactive 3-digit course numbers as well as change wording such as “300-level or higher” or “excluding x7x courses” within specific degree, emphasis area, or minor requirements

  6. Campus Curricula Committee Report September 19, 2013 The Campus Curricula Committee moves for the approval of all the cross-walk tables, requested course deletions, and default prerequisite renumbering rules along with requested exceptions.
