  1. A Lutheran Analysis of the Van Halen Cannon VH – The David Lee Roth years w/Michael Anthony: Homologoumena There is simply no denying that the original line up of Van Halen is the straight Rock-N-Roll gospel, free from error or controversy. This is VH at its finest, it is the Undivided Rock-N-Roll church before the great schism. Michael Anthony’s backing vocals along with DLR’s vamping is truly the hard rock church breathing with both lungs. VH – The David Lee Roth years w/Wolfie Van Halen on Bass: Antilegomena. DLR is back to his rightful place, but Wolfie? Without Michael Anthony Van Halen as a unit is an “epistle of straw”. . VH – The “Van Hagar Years”: Apocrypha From the 1534 Luther Bible: "Apocrypha: These Books Are Not Held Equal to the Scriptures, but Are Useful and Good to Read“. Same goes for these albums. . VH – “The Babylonian Captivity” w/Gary Cherone: Gnostic Gospel This is the hard rock equivalent to the Gospel of Thomas, maybe even the Gospel of Judas (did his mother write it?). What in the world was Eddie thinking? If the word is sufficient, then this was truly “more than words”, in the Extreme sense of the phrase. .
