Preparation • Unlike Dialog where you received a user number and password and you were ready to login, in Scopus you have to register first, to get your User Name and choose your own Password and only then you can login • You have received your Scopus Registration number (looks like this): 12345678x123 (case sensitive, x is lower case!) and Password (looks like this): 1234567 • You will use these only once – for registration • during registration Scopus will assign you a User Name and you will choose your own password; you will use these to login into Scopus Tefko Saracevic

  3. Instructions as provided by Scopus Register your bulk-ids. To register all you need to do is open your web browser and type in the URL http://www.scopus.com/scopus/personalization/bulkActivation.urland enter your registration ID and password as provided in the email you received – DO NOT USE THE EXAMPLES BELOW EXAMPLES ONLY!!! Registration ID: 12345678x123 EXAMPLES ONLY!!! Password: 1234567 Tefko Saracevic

  4. Instructions as provided by Scopus cont … After entering your registration ID and password, click submit. You will now be asked to complete a brief user profile in order to activate your profile. As part of your user profile you will be prompted to select a personal password. After submitting the profile you will be assigned a user name valid for use on Scopus & ScienceDirect through your institution. Your user name will be based on combination of your given name and your family name as it appears in your profile. Both the user name and the password are case sensitive. To access Scopus after your initial registration, go to the URL http://www.scopus.com . Enter your new user name and password in the fields at the top right of the Web Page.   5. First step: http://www.scopus.com/scopus/personalization/bulkActivation.url 2nd step: Enter registration ID, Password, click continue Watch out: if copy/paste PW inadvertently do not copy a space with PW – PW won’t work Tefko Saracevic

  6. Third step: ignore left side; click on Register Now.Repeat: IGNORE LEFT SIDE! Tefko Saracevic

  7. Fourth step: fill out Registration; check on I have read … © Tefko Saracevic

  8. Fifth step: Up to you to provide additional information; I ignored itclick Submit Tefko Saracevic

  9. Sixth step: note your user name - to be used in all future logins, together with Password you have chosen Tefko Saracevic

  10. Seventh step: fill in login information, including password you have chosen; click login(Note: this time Scopus will automatically enter your User Name, but not anymore) Tefko Saracevic
