  2. Each and every gemstone around the world contains inclusions which can either deteriorate the quality of a gemstone or can make the huge positive impact on the quality of gemstones.

  3. Hence, in order to improve or enhance the overall appearance of a particular gemstone, it is being heated to an excessively high temperature to wash away or dispel all the negativity or unwanted inclusions or particles from a gemstone.

  4. While heating a gemstone, it is kept in the notice that it does not get excessive heat treatment. Since excessive heating will lose the useful features and properties of a gemstone. Every stone is required to be heated to different temperature because every stone is unique in itself due to their distinct internal structure and chemical composition.

  5. Eventually, all of them are being heated to the different temperature in order to dispel irrelevant and harmful chemicals. This is an important and an intense technique which requires being exercised perfectly in order to enhance the overall appearance of a gemstone.

  6. Besides being stated as the best technique to remove all unnecessary particles from a mineral, the heating technique also aids in improving the color and shine of a gemstone. A gemstone looks dull and sluggish when it is mined from under the earth.

  7. However, heat treatment is not always recommended because the treatment creates impact on the overall quality of a stone. While dispersing impurities within the gemstone; this gemstone most of the time losses the important characteristics of a gemstone.

  8. Hence, a professional gemologist is required who can aptly perform heat treatment on the gemstones. Moreover, as far as quality is concerned unheated gemstone always have an upper hand in comparison to the heated gemstone.
