  4. After seven years travelling with Pavilion, we now have a drama trip, water sports trip and two sports trips a year! Ms Craven Griffiths, Nottingham ”

  5. What are our performing arts objectives? • Enhance performance skills • Appreciate your subject in a new context • Stimulate imaginative ways of working • Explore and communicate new ideas • Develop confidence and self esteem • Extend creativity in a different setting • Have fun!

Dance • The tour includes: • 5 x 90 minute dance sessions • Contemporary dance classes • Choice of specialist workshops • Student outcomes: • Advance composition, choreography, sequencing and dynamics • Develop greater body and spatial awareness • Fine tune core skills: balance, alignment, shape and strength • Improve the clarity, fluency and phrasing of movement

Drama • The tour includes: • 5 x 90 minute dance sessions • A choice of specialisations • Choice of specialist workshops • Student outcomes: • Develop body awareness and vocal control skills • Extend capabilities in prop use in a different context • Use improvisation and characterisation in performance • Interact with others performers and evaluate performances

Art • The tour includes: • 5 x 90 minute art sessions • A choice of specialisations • Site specific workshops • Student outcomes: • Practice 2 and 3D work in a new context • Explore feeling, meaning and interpretation of images • Enhance understanding of contemporary and historical artists • Develop a breadth of art, craft and design applications

Contemporary Music • The tour includes: • 5 x 90 minute music sessions • A choice of specialisations • Specialist workshops available • Student outcomes: • Gain confidence in a new setting • Explore creativity, communication and technical skills • Advance critical listening and appraising skills • Develop performance, composing and listening skills
