Resource Websites • Ventura County Volunteer Coordinator’s Council – www.vcvcc.org • Listings include volunteer recruitment sites and organizations, volunteer management tips and trainings, and volunteer recognition ideas • Energize, Inc. – www.energizeinc.com • Volunteer Leaders organization that offers a resource library, referral network and “collective wisdom” database

  5. Community Resources • RSVP– • Volunteer organization that helps match senior volunteers to opportunities throughout their community. Needed on-going opportunities can be listed in their newsletter and group/one-time opportunity requests can be filled through the local office • National Charity League (NCL)- • Mothers and daughters serving their communities together. Good resource for group/one-time opportunity needs

  9. Volunteer Opportunities Maintain a file containing all your volunteer opportunities including a brief description, requirements, and date/time requirements, and ACS contact information. Utilize this file to easily update current sites and opportunities as well as when creating new site listings by copying and pasting directly onto the sites.

Crosslistings • The state volunteer website, www.volunteerca.gov, gets its listings from the United Way volunteer sites. • Americorp gets their listings from several other sites including Idealist.org and Volunteer Match. Listing on one or two of these sites should result in your listings being available on most of the major sites.
