규제 담당 매니저(Manager of Regulatory Affairs)
Tyco International Don은 보안 장비 제품 평가, 군사 통신 개발 및 모바일 사업 통신 제품 개발 분야에 30년간 종사해왔습니다. 지난 20년간 그는 도난 방지, 감시, RFID 제품과 시스템의 국내 및 국제 무선 형식 승인, EMC, 제품 안전성 및 신체 노출의 평가 기준에 부합하는 신제품을 개발하는 업무를 담당해 왔습니다. 또한 그는 제품 안전성, EMC 및 신체 노출에 대한 표준화 작업에도 참여해 왔습니다. 그 과정에서 그는 유도 루프 시스템 테스트 방법 및 분석에 대한 상당한 경험을 축적하고, 글로벌 규정 및 표준에 대해서도 많은 지식을 보유하게 되었습니다. 1988년, 지금은 Tyco International에 합병된 Sensormatic에 입사하기 전, 그는 Magnavox Government and Industrial Electronics Company에서 항공기체 통신 시스템의 개발과 제조 업무를 관리하였으며, 설계뿐만 아니라 군사 및 항공기체의 사양 준수에도 관여하였습니다. 또 GE의 모바일 통신 사업부에서 근무하면서 무선 제품의 개발 및 테스트 업무를 담당하였습니다. Don has 30 years experience in security equipment product assessment, military communications development, and mobile business communications product development.  For the last 20 years, his role has been to qualify new products for compliance with national and international radio type approvals, EMC, product safety and human exposure assessments of anti-theft, surveillance and RFID products and systems.  He has also been involved in standards work for product safety, EMC and human exposure.  During this time, he has gained considerable experience in inductive loop systems testing methods and analysis in addition to familiarization with global regulations and standards.  Prior to joining Sensormatic in 1988, now part of Tyco International, he managed the development and manufacture of airframe communications systems for Magnavox Government and Industrial Electronics Company, responsible for the design as well as compliance with military and airframe specifications.  He also worked at GE Mobile Communications developing and testing radio products.

He chairs the RFID Experts Group and the ISO Joint Working Group - Supply chain applications of RFID, is the JTC 1/SC 31 liaison officer to ETIS and ITU-T, and leads numerous ANSI and ISO groups and actively participates in EPCglobal. He chairs the SC 31 Ad Hoc on Mobile Item Identification and Management on bringing ISO standardization to Mobile RFID and Mobile Optical Media with web services and ubiquitous networks.  He manages the content for the web site “autoid.org”. He 2004 Recipient of the Richard R. Dilling Award, AIM's highest honor given to individuals who show outstanding contributions to the data capture industry.  He assists clients in bringing their technologies into ISO standards.
