  1. Up to date simulation results for EEX at AWA Marwan Rihaoui

  2. Current AWA beamline and plan for extension for the EEX beamline

  3. Philippe optimization results to get ex/ez > 3 for Q = 100pc beam My tuning for some parameters I Change the bucking value to 6.20989e-2T To make sure NO residual B field on the photocathode ( emittance value due to B frield~10^-2 microns) Change this value to 9.875 +40.475 in order to obtain a chirp = -8

  4. Benchmark Astra (blue) and ImpactT(red) for the optimized parameters

  5. Emittance Exchange results Up to date I should look at the Twiss parameters values at this z location* Z=0 Q4 Q1 Q2 Q3 D1 D = 0.2m d=0.1m d=0.1m z=1.46m z=1.36m 23.6cm *The reason to be consistent with the setting done for 6D Gaussian distribution.

  6. Desired 6D Gaussian beam parameters Study for the emittance exchange EEX Energy Astra distribution from Philippe Quads Initial (@z = 1.36m) Vary Quads Final G1 = -1.9722712T/m G2 = 1.97379 T/m G3 = -12.1662526T/m G4 = 0.617266T/m For the E = 12.83MeV beam I vary the quads so that I get perfect exchanger, hence minimize the function: chi2 = sqrt((exf – ezi)^2 + (ezf – exi)^2). Record the desired 6D Gaussian beam parameters and compare the emittance values for real distribution case (Philippe distribution) and a 6D gaussian beam distribution.

  7. Desired 6D Gaussian beam parameters at z = 1.36 m: Put these parameters in exchanger 6D Gaussian distribution results at end of Exchanger: After the exchanger Real distribution result (from Philippe) at end of Exchanger: Good agreement and consistency between Gaussian distribution and Real distribution.
