Creating a Quiz. To activate the quiz tool click on the cogs in your class community. The cogs are located at the top right side of the screen. Scroll down the page to select the Quizzes feature. Scroll to the bottom of that section to click on the ‘ Update ’ button.

  1. Creating a Quiz

  2. To activate the quiz tool click on the cogs in your class community. The cogs are located at the top right side of the screen. Scroll down the page to select the Quizzes feature. Scroll to the bottom of that section to click on the ‘Update’ button. Click on the green arrow in the top right hand corner of the screen.

  3. Click on the ‘Quizzes’ button on the left hand side.

  4. Click on the ‘New Quiz’ button. Type in the title of the quiz and click ‘Create Quiz’ button

  5. To add your own questions...

  6. ... Click on the ‘New Question’ button

  7. Type the name of the question.Select the type of question you would like create.

  8. Single answer multi-choice The teacher is able to create a multi-choice answer to a question with one of the questions being the correct answer.

  9. Multi-answer multi-choice The teacher is able to create a multi-choice answer to a question with more than one question being the correct answer.

  10. Ordering The teacher is able to create a question that allows the children to order the answers.

  11. Inline match The teacher is able to create a sentence with a choice of answers for the children to complete.

  12. Match The teacher is able to create a grid of questions that can use the same answers.

  13. Gap match The teacher is able to create a more complex question grid with an answer system.

  14. Text entry The teacher is able to create a question that allows the children to type the answer.

  15. Extended text entry The teacher is able to create a question that allows the children to type the answer.

  16. To use the question bank...

  17. Click ‘View’ or ‘ Add’ View – will allow the teacher to read through the question. Add – will allow the teacher to add the question to their quiz.

  18. Questions in the quiz.

  19. Once complete... Click the ‘Publish’ button Set the date for when the quiz is to be available from and to.

  20. Do you want to create a task?

  21. Select the children to complete the task.

  22. Set the instructions for the task. Save task – not to be assessed. Next – assess the piece of work.

  25. Teacher’s mark book Click on the progress bar.

  26. Teacher’s mark book Click on the ‘View’ button to have a closer look at the work submitted by the child.

  27. Teacher’s mark book Type teacher’s comment and click green tick.
