    2. History Petsmart was founded in 1987 by a Delaware Corporation called Pacific Coast Distributing Incorporation. In 1988, the store was changed its named to Petsmart. The Pacific Coast Distributing Corporation opened their first stores in Phoenix, Arizona in 1987 In 1999, Petsmart teamed with Idealab to establish an online retailing department

    3. History Petsmart is the #1 U.S. retailer of Pet food and supplies. They have over 720 stores in 46 states and in Canada, and produce 12,900 products for Pets. With the help of local adoption centers, Petsmart helps over 7,000 pets a week find new homes. Petsmart offers obedience training, in-store grooming, and veterinary services.

    4. History Petsmart’s products can be bought through their stores, or online websites and catalogues. Petsmart employs over 1500 accredited dog trainers, each carrying over 96 hours of training. Recent News Recently in the News, Petsmart went to court to try and stop an employee who was leaking valuable information about their stocks rising and falling. 2 of Petsmarts top executives have resigned recently. Anthony Truesdale, senior vice president, merchandising and supply chain management. And Rich Estabrook, vice president, supply chain management. In Lansing, Michigan, a township board in the Genesee County community voted to reject a proposal for a Pets-Hotel next to a store being developed by PetSmart. Voters claimed that the store wouldn’t occupy the 5 acre site and wasn’t appropriate for the commercial setting.
