A Healthy and Clean Athlete will Succeed • - Seminar on smart and clean training in Finland • Monday July 20th at 19.00-20.15 in the Olympic village in the Festia Lecture Hall • Come and learn about healthy and clean sport! • The UKK institute for Health Promotion Research, Varala Sports Institute and Finnish Antidoping Agency together with the Tampere EYOF invites all team managers, coaches, physicians, physiotherapists, information officers, parents and VIP’s to a seminar to listen and discuss what is being done in Finland in the area of healthy and clean sport. The seminar language is English. • Program • A healthy athlete will succeed – Health care on top-athletes in Finland • Mr Tommi Vasankari, Professor, Chairman of Medical Commission of • Finnish NOC, Director, UKK Institute, Tampere • Sports and Exercise Safety in Finland • Mr Jari Parkkari, Chief Physician, UKK Institute, Tampere • Education of healthy training in Sports Institute • Mr Kimmo Sirainen, Principal, Varala Sports Institute, Tampere • Clean Win program • Mr Samuli Rasila, Education Manager, Finnish Antidoping Agency (FINADA) • The Healthy Athlete programme in Finland promotes coaching and guidance that will foster the good health and prevents injuries of young athletes. This programme provides information and know-how on smart coaching and training. It is part of the Sports and Exercise Safety programme in Finland. The programme is coordinated by the UKK Institute for Health Promotion Research and implemented in co-operation with Varala Sports Institute. • Further information: www.terveurheilija.fi • The Clean Win programme promotes clean sport. This joint programme of the Finnish Antidoping Agency (FINADA) and Fazer honours clean athletes and the values of fair play.
