Chicago United Hoops Classic Background • Premier High School Basketball Game • Anti – Violence Promotion Program • Mission Statement – Stress Character, Leadership, and Education • First Game Took place – April 30, 2012 (Julian Lewis) • Game this year will be held May 5, 2013 • Bruce Barron – Oregon • David Sobolewski – North Western

  3. Syleena Johnson • Popular R&B/ Soul artist and songwriter • Well-Known actress • American Grammy Award nominee • Close family friend of our very own Julian Lewis • Affiliated with Kanye West and Faith Evans

Budget System (Handout) • Expenses * We have a total of $6,020 due * Don’t know if we have to pay for plane tickets * Do not know the cost of renting a tarp for floor * Don’t know what Brother James is paying for * We are trying to have tickets be profit which will go directly to the Chicago United Hoops Classic event

Budget System (Handout) • Corporate Sponsorships * The companies listed we have contacted * After meeting we have to contact them * We will be giving signage, coupons, and promotions * Covering $4,000 without 2k12 tourney * Some Corporate Sponsorships that we are in contact with is Buffalo Wild Wings, Fat Ricky's, Chilies, CD Liquors, and Aurelio’s Pizza

NBA 2k12 Tourney (Budget) • What is this? • Already in progress for fundraiser • Plan to use money towards concert (in case we need extra funds) • Plan to make at least $200 from this fundraiser event • Flyers already around campus to promote event • Deadline to sign up for event is October 9, 2012

  7. Raffle Tickets • 50/50 raffles at Games * $1 - $5 a person to enter - Winner get free ticket to concert - Winner gets free entrance in 2k tourney * Sports available that draw plenty of crowds - Soccer - Volleyball - Swimming

  8. Advertising • In progress to get free radio advertising • Brian Summer – Best way to advertise is Word of Mouth at Lewis University • Incentives from some sponsors for people to buy tickets • Flyers will be started soon to promote event • People to promote concert • People to sell tickets to many crowds • Will be promoting our concert event at Lewis University Sporting Events

Outside Guest • Why we should have outside guest? * 18 or older can only come * Promote Lewis for future transfers or incoming freshman * More tickets sold, the more that goes to Chicago United Hoops Classic * The more people that go will give our group a better opportunity to get more corporate sponsorships because of the exposure these companies will receive * Variety of Communities get involved
