  2. The average rain fall is 20-40 inches but in November it rains so the wildebeest migrate to the south and when they come back in may and March it rains. What is the rainfall?

  3. What is the average temperature? • The average temperature is the high 80’s and the low 60’s.

  4. There are giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions, elephant, and wildebeest A zebra striped animal with black white stripes. It has four legs and no arms. A giraffe is an animal with an extremely long neck. Its color is orange, yellow, red and black. A lion is an animal that people say is a big cat. It is red, yellow and orange. The face has this like big furry like mask around its face. An elephant is a huge animal that is gray and some times carry humans. The animal feet are huge just like it is! The other animals are much alike the lion, giraffe, zebra and elephant in there own ways. List and describe four animals that live in the Savanna.

  5. What are some of the problems Savanna is facing? • Some of the problems Savanna is facing is drought and since they are having a drought that means can’t really go crops and fresh water. And they also are facing erosion and over grazing.

  6. List the countries that the Savanna is located in. • The countries that live in the Savanna are: • Tanzania • Kenya

  7. Name and describe four types of vegetation found in the Savanna •  A lot of grass, trees, roots and water are the types of vegetation Savanna has. The grass is the vegetation because a lot of animals, life and the wild depend on it. • Also trees are vegetation in Savanna because it basically the same reason for the grass. Water is vegetation for Savanna because you need to have water or you will die. • The reason roots are vegetation in the Savanna is because grass and trees need roots to be able to grow! And maybe some animals might eat them.

  8. What are the names of the tribes that live in the Savanna?  Describe a custom for each. • The Dorobo tribe is the hunter gatherer sand the Maasai tribe shares the plains with the Kikuyu traditionally a nation of farmers.

  9. Name and describe a meal they eat. • Food from the African Savanna has traditionally made use of ingredients easily available to both herders and farmers. Irio is a popular side dish mad by the Kikyu people is served on any occasions, like weddings. Its usually accompanied by grilled meat.

  10. The Serengeti is the most famous part of the Savanna, and it is best known for its size and majestic migration of thousands of wildebeest.  Describe the topography of the Serengeti • The vast undulating plain stretching 11,583 sq. miles from Masaya. Mara game reverse south across border to encompass Tanzania’s Serengeti National park. Other rolling grass Savannas run through the Sahel region and can also be found in Southern Africa along the side of Nambi desert.
