  1. A.C.E is a new support agency for adults with learning disabilities set up and managed by Stephen Reed & Stephen Percival. We aim to stay a small agency, which will enable a more personal service. We will support our service users together with a small hand-picked staff . Our project is all activity-based. Each day our clients are picked-up from their home by A.C.E. Staff between 9-9.30am and are dropped-off home again between 4.30-5pm (except when clients are attending the Monday/Thursday evening discos, drop-off home will be 9-9.30pm). Our current weekly activities include the following:- Leisure and Cultural: Bike Riding on a range of specially-adapted cycles (3-wheelers, hand-cycles and mountain bikes) – our staff are trained P.C.T. Cycle Leaders; ACE Football Squad; Thursday Keep-Fit Class by a Tutor qualified in exercise for disabled people; visits to museums, galleries and ferry trips. Assisted Work Placements (both paid and voluntary): Gardening Rounds; Leaflet Drops; Helping with the running of our 5 discos, social afternoons and cinema; Rice Lane Farm; Hale Pony Sanctuary; Dogs Trust. Training: Basic Catering; Money-Handling Skills; Customer Service Skills; Planting and growing own produce. As well as our Support Agency, we run weekly social events which are open to all. Our support agency clients assist with the running of these events for which they receive payment:- Monday Mornings from 10.30amMovie Mondays @ the Lime Kiln Loyds Bar Liverpool city centreCome in chill out on a couch,get yourself a cooked brekie and watch a film on the big screenMonday afternoons 1.30-3pmWalton Hall Park, biking session on bike’s adapted for people with disabilities. C. E. Our clients  are supported in small groups of 1 Support Worker to 3 service users. Each group will consist of service users according to age group, interests and preferences and we will encourage people to develop friendships. You may use our service for one day per week, one evening per week or for a full week. We charge from only £10 per hour for our service, making us the best value for money day service there is. We can be paid by direct payment or through I. L. F. We do not charge for mileage. All our staff are Enhanced C. R. B cleared and P.O.V.A. Approved. Staff are trained P.C.T. Cycle Leaders and Climbing Instructors and hold a First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificate.
