  2. What is CFC? • A service designed for you • Allows you to support charities of your choice • Provides choice, convenience, and confidence

  3. Why CFC? There are causes and issues important to you – you can do something about them An opportunity to give back Your gift will make a difference 4

  4. How to Campaign You have to Ask People to Participate There is no substitute for the direct person-to-person ask - It Works! Use a Kick-Off Event to ask people in a large group Always follow-up promptly

How to Campaign Get help in asking people Use KEY WORKERS (KW) ~30:1 Ratio Plan your CFC start and stop dates Hold a Kick-Off event (if appropriate) Use your trained KW’s to ask everyone to consider giving Follow upin a reasonable amount of time Collect pledges Thank everyone for their time and consideration.

  6. How to Campaign Ask leaders to give first and then have them encourage shipmates to participate along with them Answer questions about CFC giving Keep the Campaign focused over a short time period and be as efficient as you can in the process

  10. STEP 1 • IMPORTANT • COUNT THE NUMBER OF PAYROLL PLEDGES AND TOTAL THE DONATIONS • COUNT THE NUMBER OF CASH PLEDGES AND TOTAL THE DONATIONS • COUNT THE NUMBER OF CHECK PLEDGES AND TOTAL THE DONATIONS • YOU WILL NEED THESE NUMBERS TO FILL OUT THE BACK OF THE COLLECTION ENVELOPE

  11. STEP 2 Put blue and white payroll copies in collection envelope 12

  12. STEP 3 Put cash, checks, and pledge forms in green cash/check envelope 13

  13. STEP 4 Put the green cash/check envelope in the collection envelope 14

  14. STEP 5 Deliver the collection envelope to the CFC Office Or Fold so that the business reply mail is visible and seal. Place in mail. Do not mail cash.

  17. PLEDGING ONLINE HOW DO I PLEDGE ONLINE? 5 STEPS 1.Go to the SOCAL CFC website here http://www.socalcfc.org 2.Click on the “Pledge Online” link/button. 3.First time donors click to register. Returning donors simply log in and pledge.

  18. PLEDGING ONLINE HOW DO I PLEDGE ONLINE? 5 STEPS 4.Search for and select your activity. Enter your name, email, username and password. Click register.

  19. PLEDGING ONLINE HOW DO I PLEDGE ONLINE? 5 STEPS 5.Complete the pledge form and click to enter your pledge. You have the option of printing a copy or emailing to yourself. No other action required. The payroll copy will be delivered to payroll by your coordinator or the CFC office.
