    • A red background-the color of ketchup.

    • A sentence written on the bottom: “No one grows ketchup like Heinz.”

  • Main message: Heinz ketchup includes fresh ingredients.

Analyze

Analyze

  • The ad campaign gives the reader the message that this ketchup is fresh by:

    • Including very red, thick, fresh-looking slices of tomato.

    • Including the green portion of the tomato at the top makes the item look fresh-picked.

    • By stacking the slices into the shape of a bottle, the ad campaign makes the reader think of the familiar brand and a fresh product.

    • By using the term “grows” in the ad, the ad campaign makes the reader think of a tomato harvest instead of a processing plant.
