  2. Drugs • A drug is any substance that when absorbed by the body, alters the mind and other body functions. • I am talking about illegal drugs such as, majuianna, crack, heroin, cocaine, etc. Not pharmacuticles like tylanol, advil, or most prescription medicine. • There are prescribtion medicens that when used incorrectly or abused, will fall into the category of altering the mind and other body functions. • Most “drugs” (majuana, crack, herion, etc.) are illegal. If you have them, police can arrest you and send you to jail. • Drugs are dangerous and have severe permanent effects. Whether it’s physical or mental. Sometimes it’s both. • Drugs are highly addictive. • Drugs like cocaine directly affect the central nervous system, cause heart arrhythmia, and can cause sudden death while drugs like marijuana have less fatal consequences like memory loss and languid brain activity.

  3. Alcohol • Alcohol is another drug. But, it is not illegal as long as you are at or over the age of 21. • Alcohol, like drugs, is dangerous and can cause mental and physical affects. • Also like drugs, alcohol is highly addictive. • Alcohol is in alcoholic drinks. • Alcohol is what causes people to become intoxicated, or drunk, when they consume high amounts of alcoholic drinks. • some alcoholic drinks have a higher alcohol content than others. • It is a little known fact that alcohol is a depressant. That means that when you drink alcohol, it makes you depressed and sad. • Alcohol is a poison that directly affects your body, and your liver is what • Helps get the toxins out. Too much alcohol like in binge drinking will • Kill you, because the liver can’t get all the alcohol purified for your bloodstream.

  4. Tobacco • Tobacco is in cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, basically anything that you smoke that is legal. • There is also other forms of tobacco such as chewless tobacco. Also known as dip and snuff. • Tobacco contains a substance called nicotine; nicotine is highly addictive. • Nicotine is the substance that causes the addiction to tobacco. • The worst part about smoking tobacco is the tar in the cigarettes causes lung cancer. • Also, chewless tobacco can cause oral cancer. • Cigarette and cigar advertising is sometimes frowned upon • Cigarettes directly affect the lungs. The tar inhaled in the smoke is very unhealthy for the lungs and can cause lung cancer. • http://www.abovetheinfluence.com/?utm_campaign=paid-search&utm_source=google&utm_medium=search&utm_content=branded-general • Cuban Cigar advertising add

  5. What alcohol, Tobacco, and drugs can do with your life. • First off drugs, alcohol, and tobacco affect your body. Alcohol can give you cirrhosis of the liver which is a condition that kills your liver. Too much drinking just straight kills you. Drugs like cocaine, crack, or heroin affect your brain and your central nervous system. These are perhaps the most dangerous drugs because your brain loses control of your body, and you could just die at any time while taking them. Smoking and chewing tobacco can give you cancer. • Besides the physical affects, drugs affect your home life. They can break up families, cause medical expenses, or even cause homelessness. When an addiction becomes out of hand, it will destroy your family.

  6. Cancer • Cancer is something that almost all drugs can start. • Cancer from Smoking or chewing tobacco like we’ve said comes from the inhalation of the smoke or from chewing the leaves. • Alcohol can also help cancer cells form. • Going through cancer is also very painful and it takes a lot of strength to get through it, and there is no guarantee that you’re cancer will be cured. It can go 50/50.
