Freshmen Admission Information Impacted at the major level for Freshmen Admission • Minimum Eligibility Index for all students = 3200 • The pool of applicants determines the level of competition in each major • STEM/ Nursing use separate formula for calculating the indexSTEM Index (including Pre-Nursing applicants) - Minimum STEM Index = 3300 (High School GPA x 600) + SAT Critical Reading + (2 x SAT Math) • Music and Dance - Applicants will be admitted based on the faculty evaluation of an audition Four requirements used in selection • A-G Courses ●Test Scores (SAT or ACT) • High School (Local Area) ● Grades (10th-11th) Local Preference: Local area students eligible for provisional admission based on minimum CSULB Admission requirements.

  6. Transfer Admission Information • All CSULB undergraduate majors continue to be "impacted." All majors have specific admission and declaration requirements. Current posted requirements are valid for Fall 2015 admission and may differ from Fall 2014. • Transfer applicants must meet: • CSU Minimum Upper Division Transfer eligibility requirements • CSULB Minimum Upper Division Transfer eligibility requirements: • Lower division major specific preparation • Minimum GPA required for each major: • Local vsNon-local GPA (based on applicant pool within in each major; Vets considered Local) • General Education Courses, at least 30 units

Transfer Admission Information • CSULB Specific Transfer Application Process: • All transfer applicants must declare a major on the CSUMentor application, alternate majors will not be considered. • Complete Supplemental Application. Highly impacted majors have additional requirements (i.e., Dept. application, letters of rec., auditions) • Submit official transcript (s) only when requested • Accept offer of conditional admission • Complete and submit intent to enroll with deposit by deadline • Submit final transcripts by deadline

Transfer Admission Information • CSULB TRANSFER AA/AS DEGREE: • Cumulative GPA gets a 0.1 bump • Transfer AA/AS trumps CSULB major specific requirements • 27 CSULB Approved Similar AA/S-T’s; 100 majors including options • All admission requirements can be completed by: • Fall 2014 for Spring 2015 Admission & Summer 2015 for Fall 2015 Admission • CRITICAL THINKING WAIVER FOR CSULB ENGINEERING TRANSFERS: • Waived as an admission requirement beginning Fall 2015 • SPRING 2016 • CSULB expects to open for admission to all upper-division transfers
