  2. CSI ~ Webinar #3Learning Targets I can identify the specific skill strands to plan Tier 1 Instruction. I can use multiple measures to identify Tier 2 students. I can use Lexile and Quantile scores to set individual student goals. I can locate CSI resources on the Pike County Schools website.

  3. What Does the Data Tell Us? Universal Screener 1-8 Learning Link Brigance • Group Report • Performance Standard Report (PSR)

  4. Tier 1 Instruction(Core Instruction) • Are 80 percent of your students mastering the skills taught in a whole group/regular classroom setting? • Provide what ever services necessary to ensure that -80% of your students DO master the skill being taught. • Small Group --Focused Explicit Instruction • Additional Instruction Time --Computer interaction • Varied Materials • etc.

  5. Lexile and Quantile Range • Look at the number of students not meeting the grade level range. • Group Report • Performance Standard Report (PSR) PIE (Progress in English) Lexile PIM (Progress in Math) Quantile

  6. LL Group Report (PIE-Progress in English)

  7. LL Group Report (PIM-Progress in Math)

  8. LL PSR (Performance Standard Report) PIE (Progress in English)

  9. Data for Placement • The Learning Links report is one source of data that can be used to make CSI decisions. • Be sure to include data from other sources such as: • EXPLORE KPREP Class Work • Teacher Observations Report Card • Formative Assessments

  10. Data for PlacementTier 2 - Diagnostic • Once CSI Group is identified those students will take the “CSI Assessment”(in the A+ program) to determine specific skill deficits. Reports to help identify these deficit skills are: • Class Standard Attainment Report • Student Standard Attainment Report

  11. Data for PlacementTier 2 - Planning Once reports are generated • Look at deficit skills that are needed for success in current unit of study. • Plan “Teacher Center” Activities

  12. Tier 2 - InterventionStudents who have significantly lower levels of performance than their peers. (< 25th percentile) 20% of students that require additional supplemental instruction in addition to the daily classroom instruction. • Small Group Teacher led Instruction • 30 minutes of additional targeted instruction at least three to four times a week. • Prescribed supplemental instruction—based on data and skills deficits. • Monitor Progress bi-weekly (formative daily)
