NNPS Testing ProgramGoals • Administration of state, national, and local assessments in a secure manner and in appropriate testing environments • Development of processes and procedures for the implementation of state, national, and local assessments • Comprehensive training in: • Testing procedures & security • New assessments • Online testing (computer-based testing) • Division testing calendar • Accurate reporting and analysis of assessment results • Effective budget planning and management for state, national, and local assessments Strategic Plan • Goal 1: Improve academic achievement for all students while closing achievement gaps • Goal 3: Provide services to enhance the management, efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of the school division Testing Office

NNPS Testing ProgramObjectives • Establish procedures to ensure the security of test content and test materials • Ensure the accurate interpretation of state regulations and guide/coordinate their implementation in the division • Establish processes for implementation of assessments • Create training materials and coordinate/conduct training programs • Provide data analysis and reporting of test results, trends, and recommendations • Generate and manage budgets for state, national, and local assessments Testing Office

NNPS Testing ProgramA Typical SOL Test Implementation (x 6 large cycles/year) • Set testing windows • Identify who is to be tested • Pre-ID and/or SDU file request, validation, & upload • Determine quantities and order secure/nonsecure materials • Prepare and conduct training • Retrieve secure/nonsecure materials at conclusion of test window • Check for errors on answer docs & ship for scoring/Run online Alert reports • Reconcile secure materials and prepare for shipment • Analyze pass/fail results • Receive/distribute/analyze Phase 1 score reports (initiate Record Changes) • Collect and submit appeals (for Writing SOL administrations) • Process Authorization to Proceed (ATP) and Record Changes to close out administration • Receive Phase 2 score reports and CDs • Load data into eSIS & resolve discrepancies • Execute test administration Testing Office
