  2. Youth Activities • Youths Profile - to be maintained and updated by DYC (Gents & ladies • A fresh census of all active youths (age group of 18 to 35) • BY 31st March (to be compiled at state level)

  3. Specific projects to be finalised by each district • Project should be: • need based • within the budgetary limits (Excessive fund allocation is discouraged) • completed within a specific span of time (Maximum 1 year), except for ongoing projects. • executed with a touch of spirituality

Nagarsankirtan – As special Project 1st Quarter – Atleast once in a week – On Unit Nagarsankirtan day 2nd Quarter – Atleast twice in a week – Another day may be decided • Other Spiritual Projects • Maintenance of youth diary • Conducting Rudrarpitham • Other Small but useful Service Projects • Imparting basic education to the drop outs • Beautification of the local temple vicinity • Catering to the local festival needs etc.

DYC to convene quarterly meets To formulate the action plan for the coming quarter • Involving youth in‐charges (Gents and Ladies) of all Samithis • To be Held at different Samithis in different quarters instead of being held at the district head quarter • In a year one quarter is to be chosen where the quarterly meet shall involve all the youths of the districts and not just the office bearers Samithi Youth In-Charges would convene meetings among the youths of their Samithis periodically (bi‐monthly). The detailed minutes of such meeting should be prepared & submitted to the DP along with a copy to the state office by the 7th day following the end of the quarter.

  7. Initiatives to Involve more youths Participating in Prasanthi Seva - A must for all the youths • Youths shall constitute at least 50% of the district quota • DYC to maintain Youth Register along with their willing months of Seva • Finalise the names of youths for confirm participation by contacting the Samithi in‐charge and the youths concerned in particular. • DYCs to submit the list of such willing youths to the DPs timely • Target Youths • Pre-Sevadal Students • Past Bal Vikas students • Sathya Sai School students • Prasanthi students • Process to Involve • Prepare a List of such youths • Know their aptitude • Involve them in various activities

  8. Development of Core Group for Prasanthi Seva • Criteria of selection • The boy should be a graduate • He should be able to speak English and Hindi manageably • He should be dynamic, bright and dedicated • He should be good looking and smart • He must be willing to render Prashanthi Seva at important points for the total duration of the seva month DYCs are required to send the complete profile of such dedicated youths to the state office by the end of the first quarter

Observation of the Youth Day • At the Samithi level • Monthly once on a day most convenient to all youths • With prior intimation to all On this day Engage the youths in various sadhana like study circle, Satyopanishad discussion, Vedic training Etc. A few service activities if possible. You may refer State Conference 2007 Proceedings for details

  10. SPIRITUAL WING STUDY CIRCLE at each unit Ref. Sai Spandan-2011 • Methodology (Total duration: 1 Hr 15 mins) • Brief report on last month’s Study Circle – 3 mins • Sharing on experiences of Practice of values – 7 mins • Introduction to topic & facilitators by Study Circle coordinator-5 mins • Talk by Co-Facilitator-1 – 5 mins • Talk by Co-Facilitator-2 – 5 mins • Talk by Main Facilitator – 20 mins • Interaction by all participants – 20 mins • Summing up by Study Circle Coordinator & declare a value to be practiced during the month – 5 mins • Announcement of Next month’s topic & decide of co-facilitators, Vote of Thanks, Om Shanti, Shanti, Shatnti – 5 mins

  11. Study Circle topics for 12 months may be taken up as follows for the year 2011. Jan – Spirituality in day‐to‐day life Feb‐ Love – the undercurrent of all Sai activities Mar‐ Speech is the inner reflection Apr‐ Management of Thought May – Anger is Danger June – Love for God, Fear of Sin & Morality in Society July – Namasmaran – Highest sadhana Aug – Importance of Ideals & Values in life. Sept – Sai Literature – a plan for its study Oct – Ceiling on Desire Nov – Life & Teachings of Bhagawan Baba Dec – True Surrender

Action Plan for STUDY CIRCLE • Identify brothers & sisters who can be Facilitators • Organise a Model Study Circle –cum- orientation programme to be attended by all facilitators, Study Circle Coordinators, Spiritual coordinators, Bhajan Mandali Conveners etc. • Distribute the monthwise unit wise responsibility among facilitators • Follow up: • Dist spiritual coordinator should see that the study circle is conducted at each unit properly • Samiti Study Circle coordinators / BM Conveners should note the discussions during each study circle along with questions discussed & send a copy to Dist Spiritual coordinator • Dist. Spiritual coordinator should compile those & send to state spiritual coordinator for necessary compilation at state level

  13. Symposium / Seminar As a part of “Spiritual Rejuvenation Year” seminars & symposiums are to be organised at various locations.

  14. Mahila Bibhag • Weekly Bhajan of Mahila Bibhag • Study of Rama Katha Rasa Vahini in all the weekly Mahila Bhajans would be taken as the Project of the year.(15 mnts reading +15 mnts discussion on the values imbibed). Every quarter there may be quiz on the chapters covered.

Sai Bhajans • Identify Devotees & Youths having • Good singing potential • Proficiency in playing musical instruments • Youths & Pre‐Sevadal students should be encouraged & trained to play the role of lead singers. They should be given opportunity to sit in the front row & lead the bhajan sessions of the Samithi / B.M. • Form the District level Sai Symphony team. One active lead singer to me in‐charge of the team. Devotees with excellent skills would be selected for State level Sai Symphony team. • Lead singers & other devotees must • Follow the bhajans & style sung by students in the divine presence • Follow organisational discipline and engage themselves in all other organisational & seva activities. • Practice Veda recital, Rudram, Stuties, Slokas, Sai Vandanas and devotional songs in addition to bhajan singing.

Vedic prayers • Each District should have “Vedic Coordinator” • To propagate Veda among each member of the organisation • To help the BV gurus learn the Vedas covering their syllabi • To propagate Sri Rudram to each and every individual etc. • Odisha have a target of doing 1008 Rudrarpitham by the next Birthday of Bhagwan. Each district should decide their own target. • All Veda Chanters should • be actively engaged in all other activities of the organisation. • lead a strict disciplined life and their attitude and behaviour should be exemplary • More and more training camps are to be organised so that the common stream will join the vedic movement in the state. The resource persons are to be groomed and utilised accordingly.

Vedic prayers - to be chanted during Public functions / meetings • Not exceeding 3‐4 minutes • Kshyama Prarthana need not be chanted • Any combination of the following suktas to be chanted • Ganapati Mantra • Sarvadev Gayatri • Medha Suktam • Durga Suktam • Nila Suktam • Identify any scholar in the district who can • Do research and study of various vedic texts • Help the devotees to understand the literal and deeper meaning of the vedic chants. • Compiled the same, with approval from state, in the form of books for the use of all. • Bhu Suktam • Mantra Pushpam • Shivopasana Mantra • Shanti mantra

  19. Service Activities • National Narayan Seva (Ref. Sai Spandan-2011) • Identify beneficiaries • Decide Raw food or Cooked food to be given • Identify families to have National Narayan Seva Patra • Decide the collection procedure • Decide the distribution procedure • The beneficiary should be • A family not availing any govt facilities & is not able to meet their two meals a day • A family not having anyone to cook or take care NOTE: Rice & dal should be collected & distributed in spiritual way. If cooking is required Mahila Bibhag / Sevadal should cook with Namasmaran. No Rice & dal should be purchased • Follow up: Along with distribution of food initiatives be taken to enable them for self sustenance • Take photographs of various stages & report to state

  20. Sai Premadhara Each district should implement Sai Premadhara project wholeheartedly at all SSS‐VIP villages under following 6 cares – Child Care, Pregnant Mothers Care, Lactating Mothers care, Spiritual care, Employment Care, Awareness programmes.

  21. SSS-VIP & SSS-HP To provide seven cares of seva to each family in the villages on a sustained basis dedicating each act at the Divine Lotus feet. • We have to • improve a lot in the areas of qualitative as well as quantitative aspects of this seva. • positive support of all is required for improvement in this holistic grama seva project • Steps to Assess & Plan • Preparation of list of SSSVIP villages in the district precisely • No. of care streams so far undertaken in each SSSVIP village. • Quality of work and level of involvement of active workers in the SSSVIP villages • Problems faced in the execution of works on sustained basis. • Suggested step for improvement of activities in their true spirit. • Work more vigorously and prepare reports with photographs.

  22. Prasanthi Seva Prasanthi Seva should be given utmost priority by all units. • Training of active workers for Prasanthi Seva is to be done at Samiti / District level regularly. • D.Ps & Conveners should see that no one goes to Prasanthi without training. • District Sevadal Coordinator should see that the quota given for Prasanthi Seva is fulfilled on various occasions all through the year. • District Presidents should ensure that PS workers from their districts attend the PS duty at Prasanthi in time. • For March Seva each district should depute 2 Sevadals each from gents & Ladies. Jajpur, Ganjam & Balasore (1 & 2) districts should depute 5 each.

  23. Sevadal Orientation: Sevadal book (old publication) should be followed • Topics in this book should be discussed in all units during Sadhana Camps / training programmes. • Questions in the Sevadal exam to be held on the 2nd Sunday of September will be mostly from this book • All workers should participate in the Sevadal exam Service activities like Blood Donation, Eye Donation, etc. need to be intensified.

  24. Telemedicine & Patient Rehabilitation programme • To facilitate • Post operation consultation for Cardiology patients operated at Whitefield (Each Friday) • Consultation on New cases for Nuro-Surgery (Each Tuesday ) Timing : 8.30 am to 1 pm • For booking of time contact: 8895268090 / 9438663807 • We have to • Contact such patients & guide them accordingly • Patient Rehabilitation programme • All DPs are being intimated details of all operative cases of both Whitefield & Puttaparthy hospitals in all category • We have to contact them, Guide them about health care to be taken & extend necessary help wherever required for medicine, hygienic diet etc. • Have annual patient meet programme to develop spirituality

  25. Animal Care In 2011 our target would be total de-worming & Preventive Vaccination at all SSS-VIP villages. • We have to • Ensure vaccination of animals with the help of departmental staff (H.S, B.Q, F.M.D, PPR, ENT and Goat pox ) • Deworm the animals with specific deworming agents as per the requirement of the situation two or three times in a year. Basing on the requirement and availability of resources, we may go for 1. Vermiculture 2. Fodder cultivation 3.Farmers’ awareness camps 4. Imparting trainings to educated youths of our organization in minor veterinary practices 5.Adopted families may be given technical support service throughout the year to improve animal production leading to economic upliftment & such families should be issued animal health care card.

  26. Animal Survey & Veterinary Doctors List To be sent by Dist Sevadal Coordinators by 1st week of March

Education Wing Due importance should be given to B.V at all levels. • District Education Coordinators • To visit each Samiti / BM by 31st March • Consolidate the list of BV Gurus, BV centers (groupwise) & no. of BV students at each BV center • Correct the district wise list of BV Gurus, as sent by state office Pre-Sevadal Selection of Mentors (Age 30 – 40 yrs) one lady and one gents must be selected at B.M. level for Pre-Sevadals. They are to conduct a monthly meeting.

  28. Guidelines to be followed for monthly meeting of Pre‐Sevadals • − Two hours programme may be conducted at B.M. level. • − A talk on the following topics followed by discussion / interaction • (1 hour). • Nine Code of Conduct • Ten fold path to Divinity • Educare • Feel the presence of Sai • Journey with Sai • − Distribution of activities for the next month • (The report of the activities conducted and experience derived • needs to be recorded by the Pre‐Sevadals) • − Reading of the report of the activities by the individual. • − A topic may be allotted to them to prepare and speak (for not less • than 3 mins. each) in the next meeting.

  29. E-Techno Media All districts should pursue all the available opportunities with vigor and do much more in the field • Vocational Guidance • It is proposed to train at least 10 unemployed youths of each SSS VIP Villages in coming 5 years. • Details of all beneficiaries & success stories need to be properly documented. Special attention should be given for Water, Sanitation & Agriculture projects where we must demonstrate and serve in much greater measure. District Digital Archive coordinators should report all inspiring / motivating / important events within a week of the programme, along with digital photos / video by e‐mail (reports@sathyasaiodisha.org) / courier / post to State Digital Archive Coordinator.

  30. State Level Review Review meetings will be conducted in each quarter on zone basis as per districts allocated below. First such Zonal meet would be conducted for Zone‐I at Bhadrak on 10th April, Zone‐II at Berhampur on 17th April & Zone‐III at Sambalpur on 24th April 2011.
