  1. Existence of Noah’s Flood John Pourcho Existence of Noah’s FloodBy John Pourcho

  2. The argument of weather the Flood took place has been one of the leading controversial topics in the conflict between Creationists and Evolutionists because of the significant changes a world enveloping deluge could force upon the planet Existence of the Flood John Pourcho Did The Flood Really Happen?

  3. Evidence of Noah’s Flood John Pourcho The Evolutionary Perspective • Evolutionist put a lot of their belief in the fossil record • They believe it shows the varying forms of life in a gradual state of evolution over millions of years. Therefore they cannot have a global flood in the record as many of the animals alive at that time would all be buried in sediment, accounting for what would seem to be millions of years in the fossil record. • Their main argument is that the flood was not global, but local, and the writers of the bible didn’t know it only stretched across their area • Another idea is that the bible refers to the ‘whole world’ figuratively as all mankind. They were all destroyed locally because they had not yet spread out • Finally they argue that if there was a worldwide flood the water would have no place to go

  4. Evidence of Noah’s Flood John Pourcho The Christian Perspective If a World-Wide Flood were to occur, what Evidence would we expect to Find? • “Billions of Dead Things, Buried in Rock Layers, Laid Down by Water, All over the Earth.” Dr. Ken Ham What Evidence do we Find? “Billions of Dead Things, Buried in Rock Layers, Laid Down by Water, All over the Earth.” Dr. Ken Ham

  5. Evidence of Noah’s Flood John Pourcho Christian Perspective Continued… If a World-Wide Flood were to occur, what Evidence would we expect to Find? Fossil Record should be begin at the base with stationary marine life, then mobile sea creatures, amphibians, and finally land creature in roughly sorted, stratified layers of sediment. What Evidence do we Find? This prediction from the creation model is an accurate description of the actual evidence found in the Fossil Record.

  6. Evidence of Noah’s Flood John Pourcho More on the Fossil Record Most fossils found in the geological column are dinosaurs, right? • Over 95% of the fossils archeologists find are CLAMS! WRONG! • In fact clams are quite literally found in every type of geological location on the earth and in nearly every layer of rock – exactly what you would expect from a world-wide flood • Thus, evolutionist place most of their belief on less than 5% of the fossil record

  7. Evidence of Noah’s Flood John Pourcho Continued… • Finally evolutionists claim that the copious amount of water built up from a global flood would never recede. However, since there is no way to know the pre-flood land-to-water ratio, it is impossible to know that the water would not have been able to recede. • God very likely changed the land formations to allow for such a discharge • Also, although twenty feet above the highest mountain seems to indicate a gargantuan volume of water, we have no idea how high mountains were at that time.

  8. Evidence of Noah’s Flood John Pourcho In Conclusion The wealth of knowledge found in the world for Noah’s Flood is more than enough for a conclusive belief in the worldwide deluge The flood waters symbolize our salvation (1 Peter 3:21)
