  1. THE Empress of Ireland By Lauren, Marley, Brittany, Alexis, Cory

  2. The captain • Henry Kendall, and general manager of CPR at the time of the Empress sinking Cmdr. John T. Walsh.

  3. History • In 1941 the Empress of Ireland went down. Its intent was to arrive at Liverpool ,England, but sadly it crashed before it arrived. The fog was so deep you could’ not see any thing. According to my research, 1,015 people on board the ship were taken down with it or lost at sea . 175 of these were crew members , 584 were third class , 205 were second class and only 51 were first class . Only 462 were rescued .

  4. The Tragedy • On her first trip of the summer of 1914 the Empress of Ireland sailed away from her birthplace of Quebec ,harbor- bound. • Across the North Atlantic to Liverpool , England .The Empress of Ireland never reached its port .Only hours into her voyage ,she collided with the Norwegian Collier , sank in the gulf of the St. Lawrence River.

  5. The End This story was created by Lauren Price, and all the facts and great help is from my friends Brittany, Cory, Marley, Alexis
