  2. The Characters • Daniel Addison • A 50-year-old marriage counselor that’s lost passion for his job, and his marriage • Elizabeth Addison • Daniel’s wife. She has about as much passion for their marriage as he does. • Sundance • One-half of a newlywed amateur criminal duo. He’s controlling and wants to be in charge. A typical husband. • Thelma • The second half of the duo. She wants as much control in the relationship as Sundance.

  3. The Story • Daniel Addison, 50, is a marriage counselor in New York City. His clientele mainly consists of citizens of the city who tend to bring in various conflicts along with their aggressive nature into his office in hopes of a resolution.

  4. The Set Up • Daniel is also having trouble with his own marriage. He’s been married for 22 years, but his relationship with his wife is slowly deteriorating. They rarely talk, and when they do, the conservations aren’t pleasant. He’s losing faith in the institution of marriage as a whole.

  5. The Conflict • However, one night, Daniel is walking the streets of the city and is mugged by a pair of newlywed, amateur criminals, Sundance and Thelma.

  6. The Resolution • They argue and bicker as they attempt to mug him. Daniel recognizes the quarrel as a marital dispute and attempts to resolve it. The robbers are originally annoyed by Dan’s interference but eventually listen to his advice and reach a resolution by the end of the mugging. They still end up robbing him, but the crazy encounter inspires Dan to save his marriage and his job.
