Energy Incentive Programs - External

  • Commercial Advantage Program

  • Your business must receive electric service from the CPAU.

  • In order to receive a rebate, your application must be accepted before purchasing your equipment.

  • Each commercial customer is limited to a maximum rebate from the Commercial Advantage program of $100,000 per CPAU fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).

  • Customized Retrofit Program

  • You must be a PG&E customer.

  • You must submit a project application.

  • PG&E must inspect and approve the project prior to the removal of the existing equipment/systems and the installation of new equipment/systems.

  • PG&E finalizes the incentive amounts after completing project approval. The actual incentive amount may vary from the submitted amount.

  • You must be a Stanford Utilities customer.

  • You must submit a project application.

  • Simplified version of ERP Custom

Project 1 it services server virtualization

Project 1 – IT Services Server Virtualization

Project: Built virtual environment consisting of 6 servers. Removed 67 physical servers which were converted to virtual.


Project 2 as server virtualization

Project 2 – AS Server Virtualization

Project: Built virtual environment consisting of 10 servers. Removed 33 physical servers which were converted to virtual.

Standard calcs were significantly less than calculated method

Most P2V expected this year – these numbers will grow

Infrastructure supports significantly more VMs then P2V

Not relevant since incomplete

  • Project: Energy Retrofit of Gates Server Room

  • installing VFDs on 4 CRAH units

  • adding containment curtains & panels

  • Main concern was space

  • Sustainable IT Suggested Mitsubishi

  • Mitsubishi DP 1100 was:

  • Smaller

  • More energy efficient

  • Lighter

  • Less Expensive

  • No ERP funds since efficient choice was lowest cost
