  1. Skin Graft • A patch of skin that is removed from one area of the body and transplanted, or attached, to another area • Often covers burns, areas where there has been infection that caused a large amount of skin loss, ulcers

  2. Full-thickness grafts are done when a lot of tissue is lost. This can happen with open fractures of the lower leg.

  3. EmidermolysisBullosa • A group of inherited disorders in which skin blisters develop in response to minor injury. • Occurs over age 50 but may occur in children • Blisters occur due to minor trauma

  4. Children shouldn’t play contact sports • There are four main types: • Dystrophic epidermolysisbullosa • Epidermolysisbullosa simplex • Hemidesmosomalepidermolysisbullosa • Junctionalepidermolysisbullosa • There are many subtypes
