Due to recent events at other Post’s and Veterans organizations we are asking that everyone please use your key card when coming to the Post. This is for security of our bartenders and our Post. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! For God and Country, Marsha Martin 1st Vice Commander Report We have had 799 members pay their dues, which gives us an attained percentage of 67%. Our next Department of Florida Goal is 75%, which is needed by December 2, 2009. We only need 53 members to reach that goal. The Post needs 377 members to pay their dues to attain 100% membership. I know we can do it. Please welcome our new members: Ricky Guest, Michael Rommes, David Mendez, Robert Hall and Jose Martinez. The Post held its Veteran’s Day Service on Nov. 11. It was a very nice service. Afterwards we served Hamburgers and Hot Dogs to our membership. Thanks to D.J. Massie, Wanda Massie, Jake Taffaro and Mike Munoz for helping me with the cooking and serving. We served about 80 people. While walking around the Post that morning, I saw a lot of our old friends back in the Post again. That tells me that you are coming back in to visit us and we are glad to see you again. Thanksgiving will have passed, but Christmas is this month. We will once again prepare and serve a Christmas Dinner to our Active Duty personnel and our single Members. Please put your name on the list on the Hall door if you can make something or volunteer your time. Just take an Angel off the tree, put your name and amount of donation and put the Angel back on the tree. Donations may be given to any Aux Officer or to the bartender. Make you plans to attend the Aux Mardi Gras in Feb (more details next month). Always a lot of fun for everyone. The Auxiliary sold flag pins on Veterans Day and thanks to Ginny’s hard work we collected $201 which was donated to the Fathers and Mothers of Troops. Thanks ladies for all your hard work.
