  • Everything in the bible is God inspired and can be taken literally.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16

  • 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, forinstruction in righteousness,

  • One of the pieces of evidence used to show the earth is billions of years old is through the fossil record and by the use of radiometric dating.

  • These fossils are being presented to our youth as being millions of years old based on the scientific method of radiometric dating, or carbon dating.

  • This presents a problem for teens as they progress thorough school.

  • Do I continue to believe what I’ve been taught at church, or do I take what I’m being taught in school as scientifically proven fact?

  • Some churches have begun to try to work the theory of evolution with creation.

  • How can we take the bible literally anymore?

1 Peter 3:15

but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,

Job 40:15-24

“Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you;He eats grass like an ox.16See now, his strength is in his hips, and his power is in his stomach muscles.17 He moves his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.18His bones are like beams of bronze,His ribs like bars of iron.19He is the first of the ways of God;Only He who made him can bring near His sword.20Surely the mountains yield food for him,And all the beasts of the field play there.

21  account. He lies under the lotus trees, In a covert of reeds and marsh. 22 The lotus trees cover him with their shade; The willows by the brook surround him. 23 Indeed the river may rage, Yet he is not disturbed; He is confident, though the Jordan gushes into his mouth, 24 Though he takes it in his eyes, Or one pierces his nose with a snare.

Assumption #2 – No Contamination

- Could more lead have gotten in?

Assumption #3 – Constant Rate

- Has this always been the same?
