  3. I need you to do 3 things for me tonight: 1. At the computer, enter your email into my student parent group2. Pick up a bright yellow card that has my website information.3. Register for your remind 101 class

  4. Feel free to purchase a required lab book tonight for $1 from Mrs. Hefner

  5. Scan the QR code • on the window or the board to access my website • On my website: • Syllabi • Assignments • Supply list • Tutoring Hours • Updated Calendar

  6. Register for my Remind 101 Use the number and correct code for you class to receive reminders weekly from me. These are located on the window and the tables.

  7. What to Expect When You Are Expecting Success in Mrs. Hefner’s Chemistry Class…

  8. Homework Every Night! Due On Tuesdays Only. • Practice is required to retain knowledge, even if you “get it”, you are expected to remember it and use it.

  9. Quizzes Every Day These are short, 1-5 question oral quizzes that just allow me to assess how well you learned what I tried to teach the day, or even the week, before. They are intended to help your grade.

  10. Tests Every Tuesday • We learn a lot every week. • Students are allowed to make corrections on all tests. • Tests are made of all types of questions.

  11. The Key to Chem is TRY! • Effort leads to Success in this class. • I am always available to help. • Communication is very important, teaching and learning is a two person job.
