Beam and Column Replacement • Client: Post Oak Property Management • Location: Racine Ave., Chicago • Building Type: 3-unit Apartment Building • Problem: Deteriorated wood beams and columns with deflection in beams. • Corrective Action: Shored joists in basement and removed existing wood beams and columns. Jacked up joists to level position. Replaced wood beams and columns with steel. Set columns in steel reinforced concrete footings.
