  3. Workshop Format • Introduction – What do you want covered? • The Ten Point Model Outlined • Case Study – Community Benefit Fund • Question and Answer Session • Online follow up and information

  4. What do you want covered today? • Pair up with the person on your left • Agree on one thing you want to take home from today • We will write it up on the whiteboard • At the end of session, we will check that it has been covered

  5. What we will do today? Learn how to: • Apply for grants • How to find out what grants are available • The importance of partnerships • Use writing tools to make your case

  6. What we will do today? Discover: • What Grant Bodies are seeking from applicants • How to build a successful grants relationship • Pointers on how to write a clear succinct and comprehensive project outline • Ways to make your grant application stand out among the rest

  7. Who are you? This workshop is aimed at: • First time Grants Writers • Experienced Grant’s Writers • Sporting bodies, Community, Arts and Cultural groups • Administrators and treasurers who apply for and acquit grants • Accountants and auditors responsible for acquitting grants

  8. Ten Point Plan • Plan Ahead • READ the Guidelines – use highlighter • PHONE the contact person • Be realistic • Do your homework • Gather your evidence • Collaboration • How can you measure your outcomes • Tailor your grant application to the criteria • Always proof read your own work
