  4. 7th grade Pre-algebra curriculum • Proportional Relationships and Reasoning • Rational Number Operations • Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities • Probability • Sampling, Inferences, and Comparing Populations • Area and Circumference of Circles, Volume, and Surface Area • Scale Drawings • Geometric Constructions

  5. Math class material • 3 Composition Graph paper Notebooks • Calculator • Ruler • Tape • Pencils/erasers – paper mate is best

  6. 8th grade curriculum • Transformational Geometry • Pythagorean Theorem • Functions • Linear Equations and Systems of Linear Equations • Exponents and Scientific Notation • Volume

  7. Grade Level Expectations • Grade book will be descriptive so parents will understand what their students are working on • 80/20 Grading • Students are marked tardy if they are not in the door when the bell rings • Students will receive nine bathroom passes per quarter – to be used at the discretion of the teacher. • Weekly bulletin will be sent out on Friday’s by team leader • Tax credit donations will support all of 7th grade (not individual teams)

  8. Grading • 20% practice work • 80% assessments • Grading scale • 90 - 100% = A80 - 89% = B70 - 79% = C60 - 69% = D50 - 59% = F
