Žeimiai secondary school. Our school is not big, but it is very nice. It was build in 1557. In our school there are learning 254 students. School hadmaster is Dijana Vazgiene .

Our school is not big, but it is very nice. It was build in 1557. In our school there arelearning 254 students. School hadmaster is Dijana Vazgiene. In our school there are 13 classrooms, a libary, a gym, a stadium, a hall, 2 school museums, a canteen and two computer classes. In every free minute students can go to thelibary to surf the net, read books or play checkers. Our school museum is nice, there are old things once used by Lithuanian people. Students go into computer classes when they have IT lessons. In our school there are 28 teachers : 4 Lithuanian teachers, 2 English, 2 math, 2 geography, 2 Russian, chemistry, biology, history, physics, art and other teachers. Our school is very old. Last year our school celebrated its 410 years anniversary.
School library At our school there is one library. It is not very big, but there are many books, about 12000 books. The library has got four new computers, two printers, a scanner and the Internet. After lessons the children often come to the library to look for information on the Internet or books. Also students come there to chat with friends on the Internet. There are encyclopaedias, magazines, newspapers and many interesting books, too. In the library there works a teacher Edita Glinskienė. She works as a Lithuanian teacher, too. The library is opened from 8 o’clock in the morning till 16 o’clock in the afternoon. Also school has its Lithuanian web site. The children often came there to do their homework . Local people come into the library,too.
THE COMPUTER CLASS Our school has got two computer classes. The bigger and the smaller one. In the smaller class there are seven computers and there work younger students. In the bigger class there are twelve computers and there work senior students, also in the bigger class students have IT lessons but sometimes there we have geography lessons and English lessons, too. During geography lessons students present different projectsand in English lessons students send letters to their friends in other countries. In the bigger class there are a television with DVD. The children watch documentary films on the televison. Two computer calsses are on the first floore.
Our school canteen There is our school canteen. Our school canteen is not very big. In our canteen there are about 22-twenty-two tables. In our canteen there is different menu every dayand on the wall you can select what you want, the menu is different every day. Mostly school students buy: • sausage with side dishes. • capelinai (potatoes dumplings with meal) • potatoes bake • fish with vegetables. Besides, in our canteen there are different rolls, drinks, lemonade, juice, compote, tea, coffee, chocolates, chips. In our school there are two long breaks, the first break is for the children of the 1-5 classes and the second break is for students of 6-12 classes. During these breaks they can eat. Local people often eat here, too. About half at our school students here eat for free. Their meals are paid by municipality.
School gym Our gym looks very nice though it’s not big. Two years ago it was renewed, because it was old and looked old-fashioned. In our gym there are two dress-rooms, one for boys and one for girls. At our school there is popular to play basketball, that’s why during sports lessons students often play basketball, but also they play other games: volleyball, tennis and relay-race. After lessons students have their sports workouts. Also this sport gym is used by local people, too. Students and local people have competitions.
School has a desk of sport awards. School has many sport cups and thanks papers.
School stadium The gym is not only place to do sports, because school has a stadium, too. In the stadium there are basketball playing-field, football field and running tracks. When it is warm outside, students have their sports lesson in the stadium. They usually play football and run point-to-point. Also in summer local people use this stadium,too. School stadium is going to be renovated in 2010. There will be made a new playground with new grass on the field, and a new basketball playing-field. Also the stadium is used by our village community for concerts and festivals.
School bus In 2006 our school got a yellow school bus. The bus is taking to school and from 66 students. In 2007 there was built the garage for the school bus.
School museum School has its museum. It is not big, but there are interesting things. In our museum there are an old computer and a printer, an old school table and etc. The museum is visited not only by school students and teacher, but also by guests and other schools students and teachers.
