Remembrance 2009. Remembrance 2003. The Cenotaph. Old soldiers remember the dead. The Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium. The Last Post is sounded At 8.00 p.m. every night. On the walls are the names of 54,896 soldiers who died in the Ypres Salient and whose bodies were never found.

  24. But here in this graveyard it's still no-man's-land, The countless white crosses stand mute in the sand, To man's blind indifference to his fellow man, To whole generations that were butchered and damned. RTGoold - The Cotswold School
