  1. Create a block that is 15cm long, 12cm wide and 10cm high. There is a channel on the top of the block that is 2cm deep and 5cm wide. It is in the center of the top and runs along the length. Create a 3 point orthographic drawing that is labeled.

  2. Object This command allows the modifying or editing of objects, through the use of eight menu selections. Two (2) allow external sources to be used in modifying geometry, and six (6) allow the modification of geometry in the current drawing. Click here for example. Hatch This command is used to modify patterns that have been placed in the interior of an enclosed area. Application Draw a rectangle and hatch it, using default settings of pattern ANS131, etc. PROCEDURE - Click DRAW at top of screen. Click RECTANGLE, and then locate and construct it. Click here for example. Click DRAW, HATCH, and then SELECT OBJECTS (in the window that appears) Click here for example. Select rectangle (or any other enclosed space you want to hatch). Click OK and area will fill with selected hatch pattern. Click here for example. NOTE: Click UNDO from EDIT menu, if you need to change the pattern or scale. TASK: Change pattern and scale of hatched area. PROCEDURE: - From Modify Menu, select OBJECT - HATCH. Select Point and choose a box you have created. Select Earth. Show your teacher before you move on

  3. Create a replication of this object using hatching. • *Make sure you change your setting to imperial for this activity.
