  1. Week of September 15-19 As a reminder the 4-H trip cost $8 per person attending. Please send in your student’s field trip money and permission slip as soon as able. Mrs. Castillo’s Fourth grade Class Every night, homework will be written in the agenda. I will try every day to give students time in class to start homework. Students are expected to read 20 or more minutes every night. If you need to contact me please send an email or a note. This week you can look forward to: Science: Students will take a unit test on Energy, Forces, and Motion (4.2) and the Scientific Method (4.1) on Monday and begin our Unit on Electricity (4.3). Math: We are learning the different estimationsof sums and differences(4.4a). Our focus will on word problems and using a KWL chart to show our work (4.4b,d) Reading: We will continue text features to find theauthors purpose and the main idea within a realistic fiction text.(4.5 a, b, c) Writing: This week will be about a favorite trip. Writing this nine weeks will focus on narrative. VA Studies: We will continue the Native American tribes associated with Virginia. (VS.2a, b, c, d) Reminders: Students may correct any class work or homework assignment to receive more credit. Upcoming Dates: September 12: Interim Reports September 16: DARE begins September 18: Conferences September 25: Field Trip to Holiday Lake
