  4. March 2010 Fjord Line ordered 2 identical Ro-Pax VesselsWhich will be serving two routes between Norway & DenmarkDelivery spring & autumn 2013 from Bergen Group Fosen Vessel was prepared for LNG with DF engine etc.June 2012 decided to go for pure LNG solution as fuel.

  6. Norwegiandomesticregulations The Environmental Agreement (NOx Fund in Norwaywhentradingdomestic). The Environmental Agreement onNOx 2011-2017 wassignedon the 14th of December 2010 by 15 business organisations and the Ministry of the Environment. The agreement is an extension of the theEnvironmental Agreement onNOx for the period 2008-2010. The Environmental Agreement - and the Participant Agreement - constitutes the framework for the efforts of the Business Sector’sNOx Fund. Throughthis Agreement, the Business Organisations shallfacilitateconcretereductions of the nitrogen oxide gases harmful to the environment. Undertakingswhich sign the Agreement willbeexempt from payingNOxtax in return for theircommitment to the obligations laiddown by the Business Sector’sNOx Fund whoseprimarytask is to providefunding for NOxreducingmeasures. The Agreements areimportantcontributions to meetNorway’scommitments in the GothenburgProtocol for 2010 and the future NOxcommitmentsNorwaywillreceive in 2020. In addition, the workensuresimprovedcalculationsonNOx emissions. The Environmental Agreement 2011-2017In total, the Business organisations shallfacilitate emission reductionsstipulated in the Agreement 2011-2017 to 16,000 tonnes of NOx, as well as maintain the effect of the obtained emission reductions for the entireperiod. The Agreement has for thisperiodbothyearly and two-yeargoals to fulfil.

Summary • Marine Gas engines represents well proven technology. • LNG is available – increased demand will ensure even better distribution network. • Dual fuel engines are the choice when enough LNG cannot be carried to complete the voyage. • Where the application allows single fuel marine gas engines: • More efficient • Less expensive in terms of operating and life cycle cost. • Lower emissions, • Less complex engine supporting systems. • Green profile for the ship owner – marketing tool. • Lower lube comsumption • Lesser or no sludge • No oil spil during bunker operation • Better working environment for engine crew
