  2. Who doesn’t Love coffee? • All of us drink coffee; some of us just drink it to get rid of our once in a while coffee cravings and the others drink it because coffee has became their habit. • 56 percent of Americans enjoyed/still enjoy a morning cup of coffee daily. (Minger,2010)

  3. However… • Too much coffee or any caffeinated drink can be dangerous to our human bodies. • “Caffeine has been called the most popular drug in the world.” (Belenky 2001). • BUT this drug can only give us temporary effect.

  4. How does caffeine work in our body… • “Caffeine enters the bloodstream through the stomach and small intestine and can have a stimulating effect as soon as 15 minutes after it is consumed. (Belenky2001) • It takes 6 hours for that ½ of caffeine to be eliminated.

  5. How does caffeine work in our body… • Because of caffeine when adenosine levels arrive at a specific point in our brain and our spinal cord, then your body will start hinting you towards sleepiness.

  6. Harmfulness of caffeine. • Caffeine affects: hormones, adenosine, cortisol and dopamine levels, which can cause weight gain, heart disease, diabetes and stress. (Scott 2012)

  7. Harmfulness of caffeine. • It can also can also affect cholesterol, blood pressure, homocysteine and cause dehydration. • It also affects your brain disapprovingly

  8. The conclusion about caffeine • Drinking too much caffeine can be quite harmful. It can cause many problems to our body. • Limit your caffeine intake to 8 oz per day. • And caffeine is best to ingest before exercise.
