  3. UCOP High School Articulation • What is articulation? • Mission statement: • Communicate & implement UC faculty “a-g” policy • Evaluate high school courses for quality & rigor • Support California educators and administrators • Facilitate student preparation for college

A-G Course Lists UC and CSU admissions requirements include satisfying a 15-course pattern of “a-g” college-preparatory courses UC reviews high school courses based on criteria established by UC faculty Approved courses appear on “a-g” course lists used in University admission evaluations Submit “a-g” courses and revisions via the A-G Online Update website: https://doorways.ucop.edu/update

Vision Statement • Increase preparation for and access to UC through efforts aligning with the University’s mission • Teaching: • Conduct more efficient “a-g” course reviews • Provide statewide resource for college-preparatory curriculum • Create a collaborative online community for K-12 & higher education faculty • Research: offer “a-g” data mine for outcomes-based research and educational policy decision-making • Public service: deliver “a-g” and UCCI outreach/training programs
