  3. Retest in Michigan IPP Sites January – September, 2009 7,085 individuals tested positive for either chlamydia or gonorrhea in Michigan’s IPP supported sites. April – December, 2009 1,051 clients (15%) returned for a retest. Of the 1,051, 20%, were positive at the time of the retest, 42 – GC (4%), and 169 – CT (16%).

  4. Wayne County Jail TOTAL (N=612 ~300F/300M) GC: 5.1%; CT: 13.7%; Dual Infection: 2.6% MALE GC: 6.3%; CT: 19.2%; Dual Infection: 3.1% FEMALE GC: 3.8%; CT: 8.4%; Dual Infection: 2.0% Average for non STD clinic IPP sites – ~1.7% GC, 7.6% CT

NCC Mini-Grant Key project components: Client focus groups Introductory Dinner/Workshop for targeted providers On-site Provider Meetings (OPMs) (N=20) Statewide educational mailing to eligible female Molina members (N=9,000) Targeted mailing, with incentive (N=350) 3 and 6 months follow-up visits with targeted providers Designation of the top performing site as “Site of Excellence”

FY 2011 Changes in Specimen Source Self-Collected Vaginal Swab Finalized new lab contract with GenProbe Developed educational packet Conducted telephone information/feedback sessions Proceeding Rectal and Pharyngeal Swabs Limited - Lansing laboratory only Not intended for population based screening MDCH recommends the use of this test only for patients with symptoms or known exposure
