  2. Postmodernism • Is a tendency from the contemporary culture characterized by the conflict of objective truth and subjective suspicion towards global cultural narrative.

Postmodernismin literature • In USA appeared in 1972 withthe journal Boundary 2. • David Antin, Charles Olson, John Cage and the Black Mountain College school of poetry and the arts were figures at the exposition of postmodernism at the time. • William Gaddis, John Hawkes, William Burroughs, GianninaBraschi, Kurt Vonnegut, John Barth, Donald Barthelme, E.L. Doctorow, Jerzy Kosinski, Don DeLillo, Thomas Pynchon, Ishmael Reed, Kathy Acker, Ana Lydia Vega, and Paul Auster were important novelists.

  4. Postmodernismin architecture • Is a response of the hostility of the modern movement. • It rejects the «pure» form or «perfect» architectonic detail. • Was one of the first aesthetic movement on challenge the modernism, in favor of variety and personal preferences.
