  3. Day 1 News Flash • Christopher Martin is placed in charge of ordering supplies for all 102 passengers on the Mayflower voyage. • Dorothy Bradford decides to leave her 2-year-old son John behind in England.

  4. Entry #1 August 2, 1620Dear Diary, • Introduce yourself. Tell who you are, your age, and where you live. • Describe how you feel when you find out you are leaving England for a new land. How do you feel saying good-bye to friends and family in England knowing that you might not see them again? How do you feel about leaving your home?

  6. Day 2 News Flash • John Billington, Francis Billington and Giles Hopkins are playing in the cargo hold of the ship. Francis has taken his father’s musket and accidentally fires it, showering sparks onto an open barrel of gunpowder and nearly causing a disaster. • Mary Chilton and Mary Allerton draw a card.

He climbs a tree and tells everyone he’s found a sea, which turns out to be only a lake. • Constance Hopkins and Elizabeth Tilley leave their chores and sneak off to the woods. They are frightened by the sight of Native American villages in the distance. • Ellen More, Joseph Rogers, Christopher Martin and Remember Allerton draw a card.
