Lunch at the romantic Kururiku gourmet restaurant where we meet famous historian and writer, Dr Amir Muzur, former mayor of Opatija, who will talk about the mysteries of Kastav Visit to the old center of Rijeka, its cathedral and Maritime Museum in the Governor’s Palace. Coffee break at the famous Art Nouveau cafe Filodrammatica. All Attendees 18:30 - Midnight Gala Dinner and Dancing at the Crystal Hall of Hotel Kvarner

EUROPEANTUGOWNERS ASSOCIATION Programme Friday 24th May 2013 All Attendees: Social Day 09:30 - 17:00 Guided tour of Istrian Peninsula and visit to one of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia – Brijuni. Described locally as Heaven on Earth Brijuni consists of an archipelago of 14 islands with a history dating back to the Romans. This area was well known as the summer residence of the Yugoslavian President Tito, and was visited by both royalty and movie stars. From the historic town of Pula we will sail by boat to the national park to explore the most important sites on the small tourist train. You will see archaeological sites as well as the safari park. Back in Pula there will be time for coffee at one of Pula’s famous cafes, then a coach transfer to one of the traditional Istrian restaurants in the heart of the peninsula. Here you will experience not only warm hospitality and delicious home-made food but also Istrian culture and music.
