“Mudslinging in” the election race • Cooper claimed that Bell beat his wife! • Bell’s wife then came out with an ad saying that Bell had never beaten her. • Bell then came out with an ad saying that Cooper had been divorced and sealed the divorce papers so no one could see why he was divorced.
