  2. Seasons • A season is a time of year. A year has four seasons. The seasons are spring, summer, fall, winter. They form a pattern. After every winter comes spring.

  3. Spring • Spring is the season after winter. In spring, the weather gets warmer. There may be rainy days. Spring has more hours of daylight than winter. People may go outside more.

  4. Plants in Spring • Many plants begin to grow in spring. They get warmth, light, and rain in spring than in winter. Plants may grow new leaves and flowers.

  5. Animals in Spring • Spring is a good time for animals to have their young. New plants are food for the young. • Some young animals are born. Others hatch from eggs. It is easy for them all to find food.
