  2. Details • Two-year extension of MOU • Two-year deferral of 2% wage increase • Would have begun 7/1/09 • Deferred to 7/1/11 • Health & Dental Modifications • Elimination of dual coverage • Delta Dental Program maximum increased

  3. Impact • Negotiated deal saved County $3.0 million ($1.5 million in each of next two years) • Coalition deal would have cost $1.6 million • Net difference of $4.2 million • Difference equates to jobs saved • No furlough days were granted • Small savings in health/OPEB

  5. Coalition Model Applied to CNA • If the Coalition Model were applied to CNA: • $4.2 million would have to be cut from Health • It is unlikely that any of the cuts would be from CNA represented positions • Approximately 30 to 35 additional positions would be lost
